5:15: Keynote: Danny P. Goel, MD., CEO and Founder, Precision OS - “Virtual Reality Experience for Surgical Simulation“
Dr. Goel is an Orthopedic Surgeon in Vancouver, BC. His passion is evaluating and managing complex shoulder disorders, improving access to care and educating the current and next generations of surgeons. His software company is focused on immersive experiential medical education. They use VR and AR to help deliver meaningful education to impact global patient care. He is also a Clinical Associate Professor at The University of British Columbia, Department of Orthopedic Surgery.
6:00: Torque3 “Sneak Peek Event: Live from Salt Lake City, UT
Using Virtual Reality technology and Advanced Robotics, this robotic device places the patient inside a video game environment, where they will experience the best ride of their life! The idea is that this experience will enhance neuroplasticity in the brain and speed up healing. This event will showcase Torque3’s release of the patient-ready model of their device. There will be demos, interviews and a Sneak Peek of the actual machine in action!
