InnovatorMD Meetup: Women Physicians in Innovation

The goal of this specialized InnovatorMD event is to enhance the appeal of a career in innovation for women physicians by hearing from a diverse panel of women physicians advancing innovation. We also aim to discuss various triumphs and challenges facing women in innovation and advocate for the parity of women physician innovators within the physician innovation workforce.

• Niki Panich, MD. Founder, Calumeo - A Chemical-Free, Point of Care, N95 Disinfection Device
• Riya Pulicharam, MD, CPI. Chief Medical Officer, Harmonize Health, simplifying population health using technology

5:15 PM: Keynote Presentation: 

Sareh Parangi, MD. Professor of Surgery, Harvard Medical School; Chair of Surgery at Newton Wellesley Hospital; Director of Diversity and Inclusion, Department of Surgery, Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH).  Dr. Parangi, a thyroid surgeon with expertise in molecular biology, has over 100 publications on thyroid cancer therapeutics, imaging, and treatment of hyperparathyroidism. She is active in many organizations that promote gender equity and diversity in surgery and medicine because she feels there is still a large need in promoting women to leadership positions in academia and surgical organizations.
